Wet look effect
Wet look lash extensions use closed fans: two to four fine fibres held together at the tip rather than spread open, placed on each isolated natural lash. The line reads dark, glossy and defined, like lashes just out of water. It is a map built on a volume set, from $190 to $250 depending on the density beneath, with a free consultation first.

Wet Look: Definition with a dark, clean line.
How the wet look is made
A normal volume fan opens into a fluffy spread. For the wet look the artist keeps the tips of the fan together, so each natural lash carries a single sharp spike of two to four fibres. Placed across the eye at even lengths, the spikes read as one clean glossy line. The base stays lightweight because the fibres are 0.05 to 0.07 mm, the same as any volume set.
Curl matters more here than in a fluffy set because there is no spread to hide it. C and CC give a natural gloss; D lifts the line for a more open eye. Length is usually 9 to 13 mm in an even gradient; the wet look does not need long spikes to work.
Wet look against classic, wispy and spiky
Clients ask about wet lashes versus classic. Classic is one fibre per lash and reads as mascara; wet look is a closed fan per lash and reads as gloss and depth. Against wispy, the wet look has no long spikes and no soft base; the whole line is uniform. Against spiky, the spikes are everywhere rather than at intervals. It sits between classic and full volume in density.
Who the wet look flatters
The wet look flatters round, almond and protruding eyes, where a defined line without extra fluff keeps the eye in proportion. It fights hooded eyes with little lid space, because the uniform closed line can vanish under the fold; there we lift the curl or suggest a wispy map instead. The consultation shows it on your own eye before you decide.
Care and refills
Closed fans hold their shape well, but oil at the lash line opens them into ordinary fans and the gloss goes. Cleanse daily with a lash foam, avoid oil-based products around the eyes, and refill every two to three weeks from $70. The map on file records the fan count and spacing so the line is rebuilt exactly.
Questions
What are wet look lashes?
A volume map in which every fan is closed at the tip, so each natural lash carries one narrow, dark spike. The effect is a glossy, defined line that looks like lashes just out of water. It is not a product or a coating; it is how the fans are made and placed.
Are wet look lashes natural looking?
They read as very dark, very defined natural lashes rather than as a fluffy set. At shorter lengths and a C curl the effect is subtle; at longer lengths and a D curl it becomes a statement. The density beneath is yours to choose, from light volume to mega.
How much do wet look lash extensions cost?
The price is the base volume set: from $190 for light volume, $210 for full volume, $250 for Russian or mega volume. The wet look map is not an extra charge. Refills are from $70 every two to three weeks, paid at the atelier by cash, e-transfer, or credit or debit card.
