Keratin lash lift · Downtown Toronto

A keratin lash lift is a lash lift with a keratin conditioning step at the end. The lift curls your own lashes from the root, and the keratin smooths them afterward. Every lash lift at our atelier on Wellington Street West includes it, at the same price.

What is a keratin lash lift?

Keratin is the protein a lash is made of. A lifting lotion loosens the bonds inside that protein so the lash can be reshaped on a silicone shield, and a setting lotion joins them again in the new shape. A keratin conditioner applied afterward smooths and coats the lash, so the lifted lashes look glossier and feel softer.

The keratin is a finishing step, not a different treatment. It does not add curl, length or thickness. The shield, the timing and the tint are the same as in any lash lift.

Is a keratin lash lift better than a regular lash lift?

On fine or dry lashes, or lashes that have been lifted before, the conditioning step is worth having. On strong, healthy lashes the difference is smaller. Many lift systems now include a keratin or protein step as standard, which is why the name is on so many menus.

We call it conditioning and nothing more. We do not claim that it repairs a lash or makes a lift last longer.

Does a keratin lash lift cost more?

Not here. A lash lift at Beautiatelier is $90, or $100 with tint, and the keratin step is included.

Across Toronto, salons that publish a price charge $80 to $130 for a keratin lash lift, and two of them charge $20 to $30 more for it than for their standard lift (four salons' price lists, read on 4 October 2026).

How long does a keratin lash lift last?

Six to eight weeks, the same as a lift without it. The keratin adds no time: it changes how the lashes look and feel while the lift lasts. A lift does not wash out: it fades as the lifted lashes shed and new, straight ones grow in.

What are the downsides of a keratin lash lift?

The keratin step adds none of its own. The downsides are those of the lift itself, which works the way a hair perm does. The lash lift page sets them out in full, with what we do about each.

Keratin lash lift or eyelash extensions?

A lift works with the lashes you have: it opens the eye and shows their length. Extensions add length and density. A keratin lash lift is often the right choice when lashes are long enough but straight, when you want nothing to maintain, or as a rest between sets of extensions. If your lashes are short or sparse, extensions on a light map will do more.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Come with clean lashes: no mascara or eyeliner, and no oil-based products around the eyes that morning. Take contact lenses out. If you have reacted to a lash lift or tint before, book a free patch test 48 hours ahead. Arrive five minutes early: there is no waiting room, so we start on time.

How do I look after a keratin lash lift?

For the first 12 hours keep them dry and free of makeup and oils. From then on there is nothing to maintain: wash them as usual and brush them up in the morning.

Who will do my lashes?

Brynne Lee, the founder and lead artist, or one of the two artists she trained. Brynne is a five-time certified eyelash artist, twice certified in makeup, and an accredited trainer and educator, with more than eight years in the industry.

Danica and Nazanin bring years of experience and professional training, and both are trained in-house on the Beautiatelier protocol. Their work is checked against it every day, at every appointment, with feedback and a quality check. You can ask for an artist when you book.

More questions before you book

Can I have a keratin lash lift with a tint?

Yes, and most clients do. The tint goes on after the setting step and before the keratin, and adds $10: $100 for lift and tint against $90 for the lift alone.

How often can I have a keratin lash lift?

Every six to eight weeks. Book the next one when the curl has dropped, not before.

Can I wear mascara after a keratin lash lift?

Yes, after the first 12 hours. Use a non-waterproof mascara and remove it with an oil-free product.
