Hybrid lashes · Downtown Toronto
A hybrid set mixes two techniques on one eye: single classic fibres for definition and small hand-made fans for fill. The mix is set from your own lashes, so thin areas get fans and strong lashes carry singles. It takes about two and a quarter hours at our atelier on Wellington Street West.

What is a hybrid lash set?
On each natural lash we place either one classic fibre or a fan of two to four finer fibres, depending on what that lash can carry and what the map asks for in that part of the lash line. The singles keep the line crisp. The fans add density where your lashes are thinner. The share of fans is usually somewhere between thirty and seventy percent, and it is written into your map.
The result sits between classic and volume: fuller than one fibre per lash, softer and more textured than a set made only of fans.
How much do hybrid lashes cost in Toronto?
At Beautiatelier a hybrid full set is from $170 and a refill is from $70.
Across Toronto, salons that publish a price charge $120 to $185 for a hybrid full set (four salons' price lists, read on 4 October 2026).

Who are hybrid lashes best for?
Lashes that are full in some places and thin in others, because a fan can be placed exactly where a gap is.
Hybrid suits
- Lashes that are uneven in density
- A full lash line that wants texture without the even darkness of volume
- Anyone who finds classic too light and volume too much
Another set may suit better
- Very sparse lashes all along the lid: light volume fills more evenly
- Anyone who wants the cleanest, most natural line: classic
Is hybrid better than classic or volume?
Classic is one fibre on each natural lash: length and a clean line, as dense as your own lashes. Volume is a hand-made fan on each lash: an even, full line. Hybrid sits between them: single fibres for definition and small fans for fill, so the line looks textured rather than solid.
None is better in itself. It depends on how dense your natural lashes are and the look you want, and we decide it together at the consultation.
Do hybrid lashes look fake?
Only if you want them to be seen. With a small share of fans, a soft curl and even lengths, a hybrid set reads as full natural lashes. With more fans, longer spikes and a stronger curl it becomes a textured set that shows. The mix is yours to choose, and we will tell you what your lashes can carry.
What are the cons of hybrid lashes?
A hybrid set takes longer than classic, about 135 minutes against 120, because every fan is made by hand. And because two techniques with different lengths and weights sit side by side, it reads as slightly irregular. That texture is the point of the set. If you want a perfectly even line, volume is the better choice.
How long do hybrid lashes last?
Each fibre or fan sheds with the natural lash it is on, so the set thins gradually and is refilled every two to three weeks. At each refill we look at your lashes under magnification and adjust the mix: more fans where lashes have thinned, more singles where they have recovered. Every full set carries the 10-day retention warranty.
What are lash extensions made of?
A synthetic fibre called PBT. We do not use animal hair: what lash trays call mink or faux mink is PBT drawn to a fine, matte taper, and silk is the same fibre with a glossier finish. Each fibre, or each hand-made fan, is bonded to one isolated natural lash with a cyanoacrylate lash adhesive, 0.5 to 1 mm from the skin.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Come with clean lashes: no mascara or eyeliner, and no oil-based products around the eyes that morning. Take contact lenses out. If you have reacted to lash adhesive before, book a free patch test 48 hours ahead. Arrive five minutes early: there is no waiting room, so we start on time.
Who will do my lashes?
Brynne Lee, the founder and lead artist, or one of the two artists she trained. Brynne is a five-time certified eyelash artist, twice certified in makeup, and an accredited trainer and educator, with more than eight years in the industry.
Danica and Nazanin bring years of experience and professional training, and both are trained in-house on the Beautiatelier protocol. Their work is checked against it every day, at every appointment, with feedback and a quality check. You can ask for an artist when you book.

More questions before you book
Are hybrid lashes wispy?
Not by default. Wispy is a map with longer spikes over a shorter base. It is usually drawn on a hybrid or volume set, because fans give the base and singles give the spikes. If you want wispy, say so at the consultation.
How long does a hybrid set take?
About 135 minutes for a full set and 45 to 105 minutes for a refill, eyes closed, in a private, safe space.
How do I look after a hybrid set?
Keep it dry for the first 24 hours, then cleanse every day with a lash foam and keep oil away from the lash line. The care guide has the whole routine.
